When you think of October, you probably think of candied apples and pumpkin spice everything. It’s common and expected, so we don’t blame you. But have you ever associated pasta with October and autumn? If you haven’t, then maybe you should. October is National Pasta month and at Copper Chef, we couldn’t be more excited!

Pasta dishes have become a tried and true one pot meal go-to for soccer moms, college students, and just hungry people alike. With over 600 different shapes of pasta existing around the world, it’s no surprise that the carb is as versatile as it is delicious.

In honor of National Pasta Day, we will share with you five of our favorite pasta dishes that you can easily make in your copper pot and a fun fact to go with each.

Basil & Tomato Penne Pasta
This delicious recipe combines juicy grape tomatoes, garlic, basil, and red pepper flakes to create a simple yet flavorful dish that any family will love. The great part about this dish is that you can remove or add ingredients as you wish without changing the basic essence of the dish. It’s a classic.
Fun Fact: Due to its shape and size, penne is the most common type of pasta used in pasta salads.

Lemon Parmesan Linguine
If there was ever a one pot meal that you should make in your non-stick pan it would be this lemon parmesan linguine dish. Ready in just 30 minutes, it’s quick, fresh, delicious, and filling. This will quickly become your new favorite one pot meal to make in your copper pot.
Fun Fact: The word “linguine” (also called (linguini) is derived from the Latin term “lingua”. In Italian, it means “little tongues”.

Lasagna Soup
Did you ever think that you would hear the words “lasagna” and “soup” in the same sentence? Probably not. However, don’t knock something until you try it. Combining classic pasta and a fall time favorite, lasagna soup is the fall one pot meal recipe you never knew you needed until now. You won’t be able to resist the cheesy goodness that each spoonful brings. Make sure to make enough because the kids will definitely want more.
Fun Fact: Even though October is National Pasta month, July 29th is actually National Lasagna Day.
